Regional Director of Operations
Next Level Hospitality Services, a $400M culinary and environmental services provider serving over 400 skilled nursing facilities across 20 states, is seeking a Regional Director of Operations for the Southeast Division reporting to the Vice President of Operations. Leading a team of culinary and environmental service managers, the RDO will provide the overall vision, planning and direction to drive operational and financial performance and high levels of client satisfaction in their assigned portfolio. The key success measures of a Regional Director of Operations include profit, margin, client satisfaction and loyalty and staffing and employee engagement. In this role, 80% travel within assigned portfolio is expected.
To be prepared for this leadership role, qualified candidates will possess:
- Proven leadership experience, typically acquired over 5-10 years, including P&L responsibility within the food and/or environmental service industry. Experience in the healthcare, skilled nursing, senior living, or long-term care industries is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices, business judgement and client/consumer interaction.
- Confirmed ability to hire, assess, develop, and grow hard-working talent.
- Established communication and teamwork skills to work with all levels on the organization from the front-line associate through leadership.
- Proven success in a repeatable business model, including leading through change and turnaround initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Is well versed in all aspects of food service management, and Environmental Services management with a proven track record of success
- Possesses strong strategic thinking skills, with an emphasis on delivering and measuring action plans
- Is proactive and positive; interacts professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients, and customers
- Embraces excellence in customer service both for internal and external customers; has excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrates initiative and good judgment in assisting customers, clients, peers and subordinates
- Routine visits to each location to ensure client satisfaction in each account
- Ensure compliance to budget with payroll and supplies purchased
- Manages accounts within a region to ensure compliance with government and agency standards and to ensure profitability of the region
- Ensures consistent and fair administration of personnel policies.
- Manages planning, budget analysis and reporting for the Region
- Other duties as required.
