Plans and coordinates programs and events that encourage engagement and socialization to help support high quality of life for our residents. Plans and coordinates monthly activity calendar for residents. Promotes and facilitates activities. Schedules entertainment and activities, events, variety of programs, arts & crafts, indoor games, parties, lectures, outings, etc. Maintains a positive and cooperative relationship with residents and their families. Coordinates and maintains transportation of residents to and from events outside of the community. Ensure life enrichment programs meet all local, state and federal regulations. Other duties as needed. Minimum one year of planning, programming and/or implementing recreational services Understanding of social, cognitive, and recreational needs of the aged Must pass a level 2 background screening prior to employment (AHCA) Must be computer literate Strong organizational skills Compassion and a desire to work within the senior population Communicate in a clear and concise manner with all residents and colleagues with proven English language. Must be flexible with schedule as it may include days, evening and weekends.
