Sandhill Cove an upscale senior living community is seeking a hospitality minded professional housekeeper who is looking for a rewarding experience working with older adults to join our extraordinary team. Successful candidates must have experience working in a luxury setting, must possess excellent hospitality skills, be warm, respectful, detail oriented and passionate about their work.

The housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas and others as observed through the economical use of supplies, proper care and use of equipment and maintaining standards of quality for work performance.

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift
  • 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Education: Must posses ability to read, write, and communication in English. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, understand concepts of measurements.

Experience: Prefer (1) one year experience as a housekeeper or related field.

Complexity: A wide variety of duties and responsibilities involving knowledge of furniture care, use of chemical cleaners, and knowledge of household appliances.

Supervision Received: Under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor or designee.

Contact Others: Frequent contact with residents, guests, and staff. This requires the ability to communicate in English in writing and orally.

Errors: Errors could result in costly repairs or replacement of community or residents property. Replacement of broken or damaged items could result in major costs to the community.

Confidentiality: At times exposed to confidential data which disclosure would be contradictory to the best interests of the facility and professional ethics. Actively promotes resident confidentiality and rights.

Sensory Demands: Flow of work demands visual acuity, just have the ability to handle simultaneous tasks in a fast paced environment.

Physical Demands: Standing or walking 100% of the shift. Position requires the ability to perform tasks that requires gross and fine motor skills. The ability to lift and carry 25 pounds twenty feet. Must be able to climb and balance self on a 6 foot ladder, bend, twist, reach, crawl and stoop. Strenuous pulling and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions: Will be exposed to chemicals, moisture, uncomfortable heat, mechanical equipment, verbal abuse from residents, unsanitary conditions, unpleasant odors, dust and contaminated materials.
