The Activity Director is responsible for leading the community's assisted living and memory care activity programs which include the development and implementation programming geared towards a variety of individual abilities and interests. This position also includes supervising other members of the activity staff.

A top-notch Activity Director is someone who is creative and strategic when it comes to developing and implementing goals, able to quickly adapt when faced with change, energetic and able to positively influence others in a supportive manner, and customer service oriented with great written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and computer skills, as well as a team work attitude, are a must. Prior senior living experience is a plus, but not required.

We are seeking an energetic, creative, self-directed Engagement and Lifestyle Director. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing, supervising, and participating in activities in our senior living community.

Other responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct individual and group engagement activities for residents as well as assist with special community events
  • Plan and coordinate activities
  • Maintain the monthly calendar of activities and events that provide a variety of resident and family-centered experiences
  • Prepare the monthly newsletter

The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with active senior adults and adults with Alzheimer’s and Dementia; be comfortable, creative, upbeat, positive, and happy in working with groups of people; and have at least one year of job-related experience preferably in a senior living environment.
