Registered Dietitian-PRN Full-time Job

We're looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our growing team. The Registered Dietitian will oversee all dietary needs for all clients within compliance of federal and state regulations pertaining to all USDA programs implemented by 5 Star Cares. This position will also be responsible for handling any special dietary needs of the clients within the home setting. Reports To: ADON Responsibilities of this position include: Familiar with standards of practice used in the assessment of Intellectual/developmental disabilities (ID/DD) Plan menus that are within Federal and State Regulations Oversee communication with staff, employees, and clients regarding special dietary needs and menu related topics Conduct trainings with kitchen staff as needed Check menu plans to ensure they meet nutritional needs of patients and to ensure quality food service standards Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physician Input dietary information accurately and in a timely manner (i.e., patient charting, dietary database) Assist with other food service duties as required Any other duties as assigned Job Qualifications: Minimum BS in Nutrition or related field. Registered Dietitian credential is required A minimum of 2 years work experience in nutrition or related field is preferred, Consideration will be given to candidates with other foodservice related work experience This position requires a person that is a leader and can handle a fast-paced environment Certifications BLS and ACLS required Physical demands and work environment Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English and/or dominate language at the school Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours) Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop frequently lift up to 50 pounds Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Contract, Per diem Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour Medical specialties: Dietetics Geriatrics Home Health Pediatrics Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Rotating weekends Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: Lutz, FL 33548: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Registered Dietitian: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: Registered Dietitian Certification (Required) Work Location: One location
