The Arlington is a Non-Profit Life Plan Community/Continuing Care Retirement Community offering spacious estate homes built by Stock Development, apartment residences, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation and residential healthcare, skilled nursing, and memory care all on one campus.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Maintains effective communications as demonstrated by: prepares logs and reports that clearly explain events that have happened. Speaks clearly so that messages are correctly understood. Reports significant information about what is observed.
• Responds immediately to all 911 calls and directs emergency personnel to area. Maintains crowd control.
• Responds immediately for all Code Red Alarms, and finds alarm site as required. Assists in putting out the fire with the use of extinguisher.
• Investigates reports and calls the police for any criminal activity, auto thefts/accidents, or any threatening behavior on the campus. Assists management staff in any incident investigations, which may include assistance with surveillance.
• Other site or shift specific duties as assigned which may include delivery of mail or newspapers, valet parking, covering for front desk as needed.
• Ability to cover open shifts when necessary.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Prior security experience preferred but not necessary will train the right candidate. This is an entry level unarmed position.
• Must be able to read and write legibly in English.
• Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and operating manuals.
• Must be able to verbally communicate information and interact with customers and employees.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Work schedule includes working weekends, holidays and all shifts.
• Understanding of hospitality, first impressions and customer focus and ability to build an engaged team to provide exceptional service to residents and guests.

Certification and Licensure:

• Willing to obtain First Aid and CPR Certification fully paid for by company.
• A State of Florida Class D Security License is desired but if not possessed, you must obtain the State of Florida Class D Security License within the first 90 days of employment.
